Download the MS SQL Server driver from here: https://docs.microsoft.com/sql/connect/jdbc/download-microsoft-jdbc-driver-for-sql-server
You will download a file like this: sqljdbc_7.4.1.0_enu.exe (the version numbers may vary) that is a self-extracting file for Windows or sqljdbc_7.4.1.0_enu.tar.gz for Linux/Mac. Uncompress it to find inside a file called mssql-jdbc-7.4.1.jre8.jar (or so), this last file, the .jar, is the JDBC controller we're going to use.

Once the automated installation completes, the system will prompt you to set a secure local Administrator password. Once set, you can log into your new server environment. 🔒 Post-Installation Best Practices
Always download Windows Server 2016 ISO files from — the Evaluation Center, MSDN subscriptions, or Volume Licensing Service Center — to ensure you receive legitimate, unmodified software. Verify file integrity using hash comparisons and digital signatures before installation. Choose between Standard and Datacenter editions based on your virtualization needs, and consider whether Server Core or Desktop Experience better suits your administration requirements.
Windows Server 2016 is a Long-Term Servicing Channel (LTSC) release from Microsoft, built on the Windows 10 codebase and released in October 2016. It introduced containers, Nano Server, improved virtualization, tighter security features (Credential Guard, Remote Credential Guard, Just Enough Administration), Shielded VMs, software-defined networking and storage, and improvements to Active Directory and PowerShell.
: Ideal for physical servers or environments with low-density virtualization. It provides enterprise-class features but limits virtualization to two virtual machines (VMs) per license. Essentials Edition microsoft windows server 2016 iso

To ensure a smooth installation, your physical or virtual hardware must meet Microsoft's baseline specifications. Attempting to run the OS on underpowered hardware will lead to severe performance degradation.
Before downloading the ISO, ensure your hardware meets Microsoft’s minimum system requirements. While these are the bare minimums for installation, production workloads require significantly more capacity. Once the automated installation completes, the system will
